Smoking during pregnancy increases the risk of low birth weight, spontaneous abortion, and ‘fetal tobacco syndrome’ (perinatal mortality).

Children

Children whose parents smoke are more likely to get pneumonia and bronchitis in their first year of life, suffer from more frequent and more severe asthma attacks and tend to become regular smokers themselves. Plus if you kick the habit you'll be less stressed and have more energy to enjoy your kids!
